We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team who has a background in medical transportation and/or laboratory experience.

The Operations Manager is the key point of contact to our Partners, Associates, and the Capstone Leadership team.
In this role you are the one making the tough decisions and ensuring the success of the operations.
In collaboration with your Site Manager, you will contribute to financial decision making and will manage a workforce that may range from 10 to 20 associates.
The next steps for a Operations Manger may be to join the travel team, move to a larger site, or be promoted into a Site Manager role.
DAILY
Responsibilities:
Taking ownership of the business and ensuring the highest standards of safety, productivity, and customer service are exceeded every day.
Ensure the financial success of your site through properly staffing and managing headcount levels to optimize efficient productivity.
Recruit, onboard and monitor training of Independent contractor drivers.
Daily communications with Drivers on service levels, accountability, pay, and performance.
Manage and audit of daily revenue and spending.
Ensure Partner needs are met on a daily basis.
Audit and ensure safe specimen handling standards are met and maintained.
Ability to reconcile OS&D (specimen reconciliation) Document and resolve any customer service or associate issues daily.
Ensure all associates follow policies and work rules including safety work rules.
Assist in managing Departmental budget.
Scheduling associate shifts based on Partner requirements.
Interview, hire, and train new associates.
Manage timely and accurate data entry for all services performed.
Qualifications:
Must be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including weekends and holidays.
3 years of management and leadership experience in a clinical, laboratory or medical transportation setting.
Ability to train, coach, and mentor associates.
Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, logistics environment.
Ability to manage budgets; read and interpret P&L statements; and prepare related management reports.
Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and adding and subtracting mentally while constantly multi-tasking.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Logistics, Clinical or Laboratory experience preferred.
BS/BA Degree or associate degree with Equivalent Experience is a plus but not required.
Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Proven track record in supervision of employees including Hiring, Training, and Termination.
Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
Ability to work off site at partner locations.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
